Estudio: botijo
El botijo es un objeto muy arraigado en la cultura española, en las zonas agrícolas especialmente, ya que era la manera que tenían los trabajadores del campo de conservar el agua fresca en sus jornadas de sol a sol. La arcilla sin esmaltar suda por el calor y esto hace que el agua que contiene se mantenga fresca. Este botijo reformula la forma tradicional y auna estética y funcionalidad. La segunda parte de este estudio incluye el diseño de un sistema de agarre con cuerda de esparto que facilite su transporte. —— «Botijo» is an earthenware pitcher very rooted to Spanish culture, specially in farming areas, as field workers were using it to keep the water fresh in their long work day. The point of this pitcher is that is not glazed, so the clay «sweats» with the hot, keeping fresh the water inside. This «botijo» reformulates the traditional shape and combines aesthetic and functionality. Second part of this study includes the design of a handle system in order to make easy its transport, as in the traditional one.

Escultura funcional
Escultura de cerámica compuesta por cuencos con tapa de distinta forma y tamaño. Las piezas están hechas de pasta refractaria blanca y negra, con y sin chamota, combinando texturas y acabados: esmaltadas en el interior y sin recubrimiento en el exterior. Se puede jugar con el orden de apilado de los cuencos, cambiando la disposición y forma escultórica. También se pueden usar los cuencos, de gran formato, como contenedores diversos y funcionales. —— Ceramic sculpture made from a composition of big bowls with lid in different shapes and sizes. Pieces are made of black and with fire clay, with and without grog, combining texture and finish: pieces are glazed only in the interior and unglazed in the outside.
