Durante el mes de estancia en el taller de Nic Collins y Sabine Nemet construimos un horno de botella, en paralelo a la producción para el horno de soda. Torneamos más piezas con una pasta especial, con alto contenido de talco para soportar el choque térmico, ya que por el formato del horno, las piezas quedaban encima de la cámara de fuego, muy expuestas a las llamas.
Para la decoración de las piezas sólo usamos engobes y se puso sal dentro del horno para conseguir un esmalte a la sal. Por las condiciones metereológicas el horno no pudo alcanzar la temperatura necesaria y las piezas quedaron bizcochadas, no se llegó a producir el esmalte.

During that month working in the workshop of Nic Collins and Sabine Nemet we built a bottle kiln, in parallel to the production for the soda kiln. We throwed more pieces with a special clay with high content of talc in order to get more resistant pieces to heat impact, as in this kind of kiln pieces are very closed to fire box.
For decoration we only used engobes and we put salt inside of the kiln for the firing to get salt glaze. Because of the weather the kiln couldn’t get the needed temperature and the pieces were just bisqued, it was needing higher temperature to get the glaze.
