Estas piezas son el resultado de un mes de trabajo en el taller de los alfareros ingleses Nic Collins y Sabine Nemet. Su taller está en la región de Devon, en Morethonhampstead, trabajan con gres, esmaltes de soda y cocciones en hornos de leña que ellos mismos construyen, por lo que trabajar con ellos fue todo un aprendizaje desde el primer día.
Fue un mes muy intenso trabajando en la producción de piezas: tazas, jarras, teteras, platos ovales y mantequilleras. Profundizando y aprediendo nuevas técnicas, como el ordeñado de asas. Hicimos nuestra propia arcilla con materias primas y la ayuda de una mezcladora y una galletera, siguiendo la receta de Nic y Sabine. Usamos engobes, esmaltes y sellos para la decoración de las piezas, preparamos la leña para la cocción, cargamos el horno, hicimos la cocción, construimos un horno de botella y producimos piezas para este horno, hicimos la cocción del horno de botella, descargamos ambos hornos y nos llevamos a casa unas piezas únicas.
Esta estancia fue a través de una beca Leonardo da Vinci para prácticas durante el ciclo de Grado Medio en Alfarería.

This pieces are the result of a month working with the English potters Nic Collins and Sabine Nemet. Their workshop is in Morethonhampstead, Devon; they work with stoneware, soda glaze and fire kilns that build themselves, so working with them was an every day learning.
Was a month very intense working in the production of pieces: mugs, jugs, teapots, ovale plates and butter dishes; going deep in our skills and learning new techniques, as pulling handles. We made our own clay with the hel of a mixer and the plugmill, following the recipe of Nic and Sabine. We used engobes, glazes and stamps to decorate the pieces, prepared the wood for the firing, pack the kiln, made the firing with soda glaze, that was about 32 hours long, and unpack the kiln. Besides all this we built a bottle kiln and made more pieces for this kiln, we made the firing and unpack the kiln. And the result of both firings was amazing so we could take home really beautifull pieces.
This internship was through the European programme Leonardo da Vinci.
